Cure Fraction Models Using Mixture and Non-mixture Models
We introduce the Weibull distributions in presence of cure fraction, censored data and covariates. Twomodels are explored in this paper: mixture and non-mixture models. Inferences for the proposed models are obtained under the Bayesian approach, using standard MCMC (Markov Chain Monte Carlo) methods. An illustration of the proposed methodology is given considering a lifetime data set.
متن کاملStylometric Analyses using Dirichlet Process Mixture Models
Stylometry refers to the statistical analysis of literary style of authors based on the characteristics of expression in their writings. We propose an approach to stylometry based on a Bayesian Dirichlet process mixture model using multinomial word frequency data. The parameters of the multinomial distribution of word frequency data are the “word prints” of the author. Our approach is based on ...

today, scouring is one of the important topics in the river and coastal engineering so that the most destruction in the bridges is occurred due to this phenomenon. whereas the bridges are assumed as the most important connecting structures in the communications roads in the country and their importance is doubled while floodwater, thus exact design and maintenance thereof is very crucial. f...
assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea
data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Implementation of Pattern-Mixture Models Using Standard SAS/STAT Procedures
Methods for dealing with missing data in clinical trials have been receiving increasing attention from the regulators, practitioners and academicians in the pharmaceutical industry over the past years. New guidelines and recommendations place a great emphasis not only on the importance of carefully selecting primary analysis methods based on clearly formulated assumptions regarding the missingn...
